A. Strengths to Build On Mission
. Provide strong support for overseas and local mission and service opportunities, calling out and supporting workers from the congregation.
Education
. Focused on the Word of God, build creative and challenging approaches to learning for people of all ages, providing the opportunity for growth in faith and service.
B. Needs and Problems to Address
Youth and Young Adults. Strengthen programs for youth and young adults through improved programming and adequate staffing and resources.
Youth and Anabaptist Values
. Assure that educational programming for youth be biblically centered, encouraging Anabaptist value and faith development through trained youth leadership, the Sunday School program, youth service projects, and inviting youth to enroll in Anabaptist educational institutions.
C. The Call of Our Community East and West Hempfield Youth.Become advocates for, and help meet the needs of economically disadvantaged and troubled youth and families in our community.
Co-operative Service. Collaborate with other churches and social-service agencies in identifying and responding to specific economic, social and other needs in the Hempfield community.
D. Aspirations for the Next Five Years
A Missional Church
. Grow in our understanding and practice of being a ``missional
church,'' encouraging ministries to be initiated and develop as members sense God's
call on their lives. A Church Growing Closer to God
. Support and nurture members as they deepen their personal relationships with God in Christ.
