The
Peace and Justice Committee
has a deep commitment to Christ's way of peace and justice, and desire to be aware of and respond to related issues locally, nationally, and worldwide. The congregation prayerfully intercedes on a regular basis for situations where peace and justice are lacking. The Peace and Justice Committee works to keep the congregation aware of peace and justice issues, plans educational events, and encourages response to needs that arise. Current initiatives include planning and leading worship on Peace Sunday, collecting food for the Lancaster County Council of Churches Food Bank, and encouraging prayers for peace with the peace candle.
